EDIT 7550 - Project Management

Project |01

Percy Jackson's Adventure at the Michael C. Carlos Museum

I was the project manager for one of four teams in our project management class. My team developed an interactive online quest for the Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory University; the point of the quest is to connect certain objects in the museum's Greek and Roman collections to the characters, scenes, and classical myths presented in the popular children’s books written by Rick Riordan (specifically the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series).

In hindsight, this  was an overly ambitious project for a summer session; we had to scale back on our initial proposal once we realized how little time we had available for development (we designed and created the entire quest in less than six weeks). We were pleased with the results, but we all agreed that we could have turned this project into something truly amazing given a full semester to work on it.

This project was developed in Captivate. My ten-year-old daughter provided the voice for the Muse who narrates the quest; I recorded and edited the audio in Audacity.

Just a sample of my work. To see more or discuss possible employment opportunities >>
