Lesson Plan: Project-Based Learning in a Virtual World

I designed this lesson plan as an introductory version of the Virtual Worlds Certificate Program. This nine-week course is intended to introduce learners to avatar creation and customization, navigation, communication, 3D building, scripting, and principles of virtual learning environment design in the virtual world of Second Life. Students collaborate during the second half of the class to create an immersive and interactive virtual learning environment.
